Shikigami Parade
Shikigami parade was commissioned for the trading card game Battalla. It is my largest piece and took a total of 72 working hours to produce. There are many layers to the piece but the main attention is on the four main figures, a devoted warrior, a mysterious assassin, a peaceful inugami, and a striking summoner. Surrounding them are paper shikigami as they parade through the night on a soulless lake. I experimented with many new techniques and learned so much while creating this work. I thank Battalla for the opportunity to design their characters.
I presented the client with three thumbnails to choose from before I started rendering. Shown here is the winning sketch that would ultimately become the finale piece.
