Trapped
TRAPPED is a companion piece to PIERCED. It symbolizes the pain of being in love and for whatever reason you feel you can’t do anything about it. You’re only able to watch as they fly away out of your grasp. However while I was in the planning stages I decided to add a glimmer of hope. The cupids are loosening the chains around our protagonist. There is hope after all. As long as you have the will to spread your wings and fly they’re never truly out of reach.
Rather than doing a clean inked final drawing I experimented with longer loose lines. The drawing took much less time to do and I was able to give it more emotion too. I plan on using this technique more when it fits the mood of the piece.
