RISING represents my love for the nation of Japan. I was blessed with the opportunity to visit in the summer of 2023. This artwork depicts different landmarks in Tokyo I’ve been to, Tokyo Tower, the Rainbow Bridge, Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo Skytree, and most prominently Itsukushima Shrine in Hiroshima.
